Caudalie - Beauty Elixir -- Rébecca
It took me a long time to finish this small bottle, it's beacause I don't use it every day but I do like it a lot. Mostly I use it after applying foundation if it looks to cakey / powdery this works wonders in making it look nice and glowy. On top of everything I love the smell. But there's a lot of essential oils and there is also alcohol on that one, so might not be that good for the skin.
Would I purchase it again? Yes absolutely
Chanel - Gentle Biphase Eye Makeup Remover -- Rébecca
Every now and then when I'm too lazy to remove all my make up with oil and water I just us regular make up remover. Since I use waterproof mascara I like a Biphase remover my go-to being the L'Oreal one but one time I went for this one because I had a 25% coupon at Sephora. I like it just as good as the L'Oreal but to be honest this is just too expensive.
Woud I purchase it again? No I don't think so.
Avène - Thermal Spring Water -- Rébecca
I mentionned this one in previous empties, a previous morning routine and a previous evening routine. My opinion has not changed at all.
Would I purchase it again? I have already and will again.
Bioderma - Créaline DS Crème -- Rébecca
The skin on my forehead is not always even and I have red patches around my nose that I suspected were linked with a scalp condition I suffer from. It did help moisturize my skin and I felt that overall during the time I used it my skin did not get any worst but I haven't seen any drastic bettering. But the not getting worst part felt very nice. My skin felt comfortable after using it which I what I was looking for.
Would I purchase it again? Not right now but if I see my skin getting bad I will go back to it.
L'Occitane en Provence - Jasmin & Bergamotte Hand Cream -- Rébecca
I quite simply never leave the hous without one of these babies in my hand bag. The L'Occitane hand creams follow me everywhere I go. I use loads of them. They are perfect: the lighter ones are wonderful in summer, and the thicker ones (with 25% of shea butter) are marvelous in winter. They may not be if you are one of those people who waits until their hands are craked from dryness before the decide to use a cream because they are all scented (hence might irritated the skin for some). I love love love them, I tried almost all the scents by now.
Would I purchase it again? I have at least 5 full size waiting to be use, about 5 mini travel sized ones as well. And I'll buy more for sure.
Estée Lauder - Advanced Night Repair -- Rébecca
This one is holy grail. My life changed when I started usint it. Seriously. I used to believe it was just every one liking it because it was cool to like it but no really it is awesome. I started using it I would say two and a half year ago and the only time I suffered from a dehydrated rough patch around my nose was when I finished my first bottle and did not have anything to replace it. It also helps tremendously with scars, I do have small pimples or spots every now and then and wether I touched them or just let them live their lives they would leave scars on my forehead (a shade kind of) and those scars would stay on my face for about 10 day, with this one first I feel I have less pimples and the scar they leave is a lot less visible and disappear a lot quicker (3 to 5 days maybe). It is also said to have anti-ageing properties (yieah). I love love love it.
Would I purchase it again? YES, I'm trying a dupe for this one at the moment but I will get back to it at some point.
Clinique - Moisture surge Extended thirst relief -- Rébecca
This is one of my go-to daily moisturizer. It is just a no fuss hydrating moisturizer, I love it. It sometimes is not enough in winter but is perfect for summer. The texture is light fresh and instantly feels like your skin has had its share of water.
Would I purchase it again? Yes
The Body Shop - Virgin Mojito Body Butter -- Rébecca
(not really empty)
There was a time were I swore by the Body Shop body butters. They are rich body moisturizers (though pay attention some of them are said to be "butter" but are in fact quite light). But lately I just found them way too scented. I know some of the scents react with my skin, for exemple I can not use the Coconut one because it smells an horrible play-doh scent after a few minutes on my skin. Well this one smells too sugary or something is wrong with it. I started to use it to shave in the shower but I made the mistake of keeping it open and it turned to a weird texture and it still smells a little too much. So I'm throwing it away only half empty.
Would I purchase it again? No, not this smell at least.
La Roche-Posay - Kerium DS Crème -- Rébecca
(not empty)
I bought this one to replace the Bioderma Crealine DS cream for night time. But this one STINKS oh my. When you smell it in the bottle it does not smell nice but not a huge turn off. But once it has reacted with my skin, eurk I can't stand it. I use it for about ten days but I can't anymore sorry. I did not react badly to it or anything I really just can't with the scent.
Would I purchase it again? No.
Mamonde - Super Moist Foam -- Sarah
I remember purchasing this cleansing foam because I had read somewhere it was low PH. However when I tested it scored above 8 which is pretty high. I was disappointed because I try to be careful when buying foam cleansers but I managed to finish it. I only had tried one product from Mamonde - the Rose & Honey sleeping mask - so I was kind of deceived of the brand as well. Finally while it is supposed to have 40% moisturizing ingredients, my skin still felt dry right after washing it.
Would I purchase it again? Nope. The PH is too high for my sensitive skin.
Etude House - Happy Essential Foam #Hyaluronic Acid -- Sarah
I bought it obviously because of the cute package and the content in Hyaluronic acid. There is also 40% moisturizing ingredients and actually while doing this review besides the packaging the products are incredibly similar in their claims, they have similar smells and the same quantity of product. Just like the Mamonde it has a high PH. I've had this product for too long - I bought it when I didn't know yet I had couperosis-, I cannot convince myself to use it, even on my body so I decided to throw it away.
Would I purchase it again? No.
Tony Moly - Whitening Capsule Essence -- Sarah
I disliked
most of Tony Moly's skincare products (except their Dual Effect Sleeping Pack)
they usually contain alcohol and fragrances and aren't effective either. But
with their new Floria line I thought it might be different so I gave it a try. I
pushed myself to finish the bottle but I had guessed from the beginning that it
would do nothing. And I was right, it did nothing, it didn't even moisturize my
skin. Moreover the capsules dissolved before reaching the pump: NOT FUN. And
when I applied too much it felt too greasy. At least now I know I should stay
away from their skincare products (except for their body and hand lotion
because their packaging are just too cute!!).
Would I purchase it again? No.
