by - January 10, 2016

My haul includes :
- Water In Lip Ume softcream lip balm SPF 12
- Pure Smile Peach essence mask
- Kracie - Naive Snow White creamy cleansing oil
- Herb Day 365 Aloe cleansing foam
- The Face Shop Baby leaf freen tea Waterfull serum
- Sana Hadanomy collagen cream
- The Face Shop air cotton make up base SPF30 PA++ in Mint

It will take some time for me to test everything, considering that for most product I like to wait at least 2 weeks before reviewing a product. But for cleansers, sheet masks and lip balms I usually can tell if I'm going to like them or not within the first uses. So I'm going to make the Kracie cleansing oil review now since I really hate my current cleansing oil and want to change ASAP : Holika Holika light cleaning oil, which is everything but light, it's too perfumey, it burns my eyes and doesn't even properly removes my makeup. So I couldn't wait to change.

Kracie - Naive Snow White creamy cleansing oil

Come on, how cute is this?

Trying this was full of surprise. Let me explain: I have to admit that once again, the pretty packaging was one of the main reasons I purchased the cleansing oil. When I first got it in my hand, I was quite surprised of the big size. Then I actually tested it:
At first I was pleasantly surprised because the foam that came out of the pump is thick, creamy and it smells really good! But when I begun to massage it on the back of my hand, it didn’t turn out oily at all, like I was expecting. From what I read from Musings of a Muse, it ought to turn in oil when massaged. But somehow it didn’t work for me. It remained like a thick lather.

I still tried to apply it on my face. At first it was easy to spread and massage but the foam disappearing too quickly. When I tried to remove my eye make up with it, it was very hard to massage gently since the foam is thick. I was also scared to get some in my eyes, but some managed to get in anyways. Let me tell you that it hurts!! Not even like a regular cleansing oil (like my Holika Holika light cleaning oil), but really like a soap. Moreover, on the back of my hand you can see it dissolved my eyebrow pencil, my under eye highlighter, my black eyeliner and my BB cream but when I tried it on my face it didn't dissolved my waterproof mascara: I don't know if it's because I could not massage enough time because my eyes we're sore or because of the oil itself though.

But finally I realized that this half oil cleanser half foam cleanser of hell would be perfect for morning instead.

So I tried to apply it this morning like I would usually do with my foam cleanser: I washed my hands, wet my face, apply 2 pumps of foam and washed it without emulsifying. As a foam cleanser, it does a way better job: it doesn't leave my skin feeling extra tight and it is gentle like an oil cleanser but it made my face feeling fresh like a water based cleanser.

In the end, I'm pretty satisfied about it. I wanted to switch to an oil-based cleanser on morning but I was a bit afraid that it would make my face less matte, or that it wouldn't cleanse my face enough (even though I knew both were wrong).
Those who avoid strong fragrances might want to avoid this cleanser though as it smells quite strongly, personally I love the smell and I don't mind it but it might bother some people.

This is the CosDNA analysis (the packaging is different because the snow white version is a limited edition)

Now that I found out that this can't be use as a makeup remover, I'll have to find a new cleansing oil real quick.

Retail price: $11.89 at Yesstyle (not an affiliate link)

Note: 4/5 - It does a very good job and I might buy it again except if I find something better
