Yeah, that is somewhat late... Please don't judge me, I still have a lot of articles that I should have wrote earlier this year... These are just mini-reviews of some products I finished last year and still haven't talked about.

Bioré - UV Face Milk SPF 50+ PA++++, 5/5

I have already finished 2 or 3 bottles of this, I believe this is the first sunscreen I ever bought that was solely for my face and it was recommended to me by my sister. This is an all time favorite for oily skin. Unfortunately, my skin has been getting dryer lately, but I still used it during the hot Japanese summer. It has a nice matte finish and it never broke me out. It might have a slight white cast but it disappears quickly. It also doubles as a primer and gives a powdery finish to the skin. Would recommend for normal to oily skin.

Hadalabo - Gokujyun Essence, 3/5

I was desperately searching a cheap serum when I was in Japan and stumbled accross this. I really love the Gokujyun lotion from Hadalabo, so I thought it was a pretty safe bet. Alas, I was pretty deceived by this product. It just doesn't feel right, it was too goey and sticky for my liking, even more so if you live in a humid climate. When I was dabbing my skin I could see strings between my face and my hand. It has the same smell as the Hadalabo lotion, which is a very light fresh scent. I think the formulation is not the best, even the performance is not terrible, it was really a chore to finish.

LuLuLun - Cream Mask, 4/5

I have already complained about this product on my instagram but long story short I was just extremely deceived this was not a mask, but rather a cream specially formulated to use after you did a sheet mask. Otherwise this was a really nice, lightweight fresh cream that would be perfect for normal to oily skin. It hydrates but that's about it.

DHC - Lip Cream, 4.5/5

How CUTE is the packaging? I use lip balm all day long, I go through them pretty easily. This one is on the thicker side. I really liked using it, the packaging was also a huge plus since I've had some people asking me where I bought it. The only thing I did not like is the taste (who has never gotten lip balm in their mouth seriously?).

Etude House - Proof 10 Eye Primer, 2/5

I was not a huge fan of this eye primer, it was quite patchy even when I patted it on my eyelids. It did not provide coverage unfortunately so I probably won't repurchase. This is why I put it in my Panproject. Right now it is far from being empty but I just can't access the sides of the bottle, although it is pretty, it is not the most practical packaging.

Innisfree - The Minimum Moist Cream, 4.5/5

This was a good facial cream, made to avoid any kind of irritation. It held its promise, but as a consequence it was a bit boring, some soothing ingredients would have made it a little more fun. I would say it is best for normal to dry skin. Sensitive skin approved.

Daiso - Eyebrow Gel Clear, 5/5

I really liked this one. It lasted almost a year surprisingly, despite the small size. It made my eyebrow a little stiff, but at least they would not move even if I rubbed them, for a dollar, you can't do much better.

The Face Shop - Air Cotton Make Up Base, ?/5 just not for me.

It took me so long to finish this. I had to put it in my Panproject before it went bad because it has probably been over 2 years since I've had this. This was my first try at color correcting, it was nice, but most days I would just forget to use it. It did fade the redness but when I put too much it could make my face look sick. That was not a bad product, I just don't think it's for me. My redness aren't equally dispersed on my face, but rather look like two stripes on my cheeks so I would rather put something more pigmented but on a smaller portion of my face.

Crazy Rumors - Red Velvet 100% Natural Lip Balm, 5/5

Loved this one till the end. It really does smell like cake, I prefer it over the one I am using now which is the Cinnamon Bun one, which smell more like plain cinnamon to me.

... I can finally throw them out now... Though I still have more recent empties.

This was my first time ever trying a product containing galactomyces and I was not deceived. If you're reading this blog, you probably have heard of galactomyces or First Treatment Essences (FTE). The first company to popularize galactomyces was SK-II but since then, a lot of other companies have jumped in the bandwagon, offering us more affordable versions. There is Secret Key but also COSRX, Missha and Tony Moly to name a few, but I started with one of less expansive brands, which is Secret Key. They have been around for a little while now, but it took me some time to try one as I was doubting the effect of a water, moreover the scientific data around fermented galactomyces is still pretty scarce for a product that can be so expansive. But after seeing so many good reviews from customers, I wanted to test it for myself. First Treatment Essences is the term generally used for products that use galactomyces or saccharomyces ferment filtrate as the first ingredient. Secret Key decided to call it a Starting Treatment Essence instead of a "First" Treatment Essence, but that doesn't change anything.

Ingredients


Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate, Dipropylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Glycerin, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Acorus Gramineus Root/Stem Extract, Perilla Ocymoides Leaf Extract, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, Adenosine.

- Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate: The start ingredient, it is a type a yeast byproduct of the sake brewing process. As I said, there isn't a whole lot of studies for now, but one in the Asian Journal of Beauty & Cosmetology showed improvements in "pores, sebum secretion, brightness and acne".

- Dipropylene Glycol : texture / viscosity enhancer, does not have any skin benefits, it's just to improve the feel of the product.

- Niacinamide AKA vitamin B3: brightening and anti-inflammatory ingredient, It has been shown to improve the appearance of large pores and refine the skin texture. It is such a good multipurpose ingredient that can benefits all skin types.

- Glycerin is a pretty cheap humectant that almost all companies use. Cheap does not mean it doesn't work well, on the contrary it is a naturally occurring molecule in our bodies and helps maintain water levels in our skin.

- Perilla Ocymoides Leaf Extract : anti oxidant.

- Rosa Centifolia Flower Water (rose hip water) : Soothing ingredient.

- Adenosine : anti-aging & soothing ingredient.

The list is already pretty simple and the brand claims it contains 94% of galactomyces ferment filtrate. It is free of 10 harmful ingredients : parabens, animal oil, Benzophenone, artificial fragrance, artificial coloring, Triethanolamine, mineral oil, Phenoxyethanol, alcohol and sulfates.

How to use

After cleansing, at the beginning of your routine, but after your acids.

The packaging says to use a cotton pad, but I feel like it is huge waste of money, and I don't enjoy all the benefits of the essence with a cotton pad.

I found it works best when used in large quantities. I would highly recommend trying the 3-skin or 7-skin method with this. After 4 layers I start to get really soft skin, like a baby's butt. After 7, the skin looks visibly more plump, but I didn't do 7 layers each time, as I don't want to buy a bottle every month. I used it every night, because the 4-skin method would be a bit long on mornings before school.

Packaging


The packaging looks really luxurious, it is in a frosted glass which looks stunning on your vanity, even more so if you have the rose edition. The rose gold that is on the cap and on the rose details on the bottle are super pretty. My only complaint is that you can hardly keep the bottle clean, personally I wrapped it in a tissue so that I could take pictures at the end for this review but otherwise you'd get finger prints all over the bottle. I had no problem with the opening, and overall the packaging is pretty standard for FTEs, it is pretty sturdy.

First impressions

I have not tried any other FTE so I won't be able to compare this product to others in its category.  There isn't any scent that I can detect. I won't even show you the texture on the back on my hand like I usually do, because it literally looks and feels like straight water. The first few layers absorbed really quickly because my skin is thirsty like that. But after about four layers, the absorption takes slightly longer as the skin becomes progressively saturated. After the third layer my skin starts to feel incredibly soft, but that might just be because my skin is rarely that hydrated.

Did I like it ?

I really loved it. It gave me a glow that I rarely can achieve with my dry and dehydrated rosacea skin. For the same reason my skin is rarely silky smooth, but with the 3 or 7 skin method it worked wonders to plump my skin. Dare I say my skin was mochi-mochi: bright, hydrated, smooth and clear. As I find this step quite time consuming, it was usually the first thing I would skip after a busy day. But it still helped a bit with brightening after a couple of weeks.

I found that I needed at least 3 to 4 layers to see optimum results. Because of the hydration it provides, it calmed my redness a bit, but I doubt it is because of the ingredients themselves and more because my skin is not thirsty anymore. According to Musicalhouses, the Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence is a pretty good dupe for the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence given the ingredients. I doubt there is a very big difference between the regular version and this one, the rose water is not in large enough proportion to do anything major, but I have to admit it was worth it just for the packaging alone. Next time, I will probably try the regular version to test if there is a difference in terms of performance.

I would recommend it for any skin type : from dry to oily, sensitive and dehydrated alike.

Price: one of the cheapest FTE I know on the market. I bought it on beautynetkorea.com for $14 (when they still had free shipping, now it is ~$11 + shipping)

Note: 5/5, I have no negative thing to say about this essence. It may not be an essential part of a routine for a beginner, but as a skincare junkie, I will continue to use it.

Would I purchase it again: YES! Although I have just bought the COSRX Galactomyces Alcohol-Free Toner to compare (another dupe to the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence according to Musicalhouses, even though it's not very high in galactomyces), I will buy the Secret Key STE again, probably the regular version to compare to the rose edition.

When I went to Japan last year, there were a few products I stocked up : sunscreens and oil cleansers mainly. When I think about those two categories, I think Japan. I have rarely been deceived by an oil cleanser or a sunscreen that came from Japan.

I have bought many products from Bioré, it's a brand that I like, even though I have to be careful about the ingredients as it's not always made for sensitive skin. I was thrilled to learn that it was going to be sold in French supermarkets. However I am quite sad that they only sell acne care products. I hope the success of the brand will make them expand their range though.

I had already heard about the Bioré Perfect Oil even before I went to Japan, it is budget-friendly favorite for many Japanese beauty lovers already and I wanted to try it for myself. Let's take a look at the claims:

"Bioré Cleansing Oil effectively dissolves and removes stubborn makeup, including waterproof mascara, while lifting away dirt and impurities. Unlike other cleansing oils, it leaves no greasy film on your face and maintains the skin's natural moisture balance. It does not emulsify upon contact with water, thus maintaining its optimal cleansing performance at all times. Just apply with dry or wet hands and rinse off with water for that clean and fresh feeling!" (From the Bioré Malaysian website)

You know when bloggers / youtubers apologize for being MIA for 1 or 2 weeks? Lol, I have been MIA for MONTHS ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ oopsie. The thing is I kept every single product I finished, so the more I waited to resume blogging, the more products were waiting, the more I procrastinated. I'm really sorry and I hope this will be the start of regularly posting. I am also looking to improve this blog and the reviews, so don't hesitate to comment the points I missed on reviews or suggestions, whatever you feel will make this blog more interesting and thorough.

Let's start easy with products I'm still using, today I will be talking about Avène Extremely Gentle Cleanser Lotion. I was looking for a cleansing product in my local pharmacy and the packaging caught my eyes: pearly white and peach are my jam, if you've seen my Instagram you probably noticed I love the white and pink combo. I also trust this brand a lot, I have used their products before and have never been deceived. Moreover Avene is well known for making gentle and non irritating skincare for sensitive skins so I knew I was not taking a huge risk not thoroughly researching the product before buying it.

According to the brand this is a gentle, no-rinse cleanser that is formulated with minimal ingredients for maximum tolerance. Make-up, oil and impurities are removed without disrupting the skin's delicate moisture balance.

Packaging

- The Juicy Shaker is a glass bottle with a shaker shape. If you shake it you can hear a ball inside. When you open it the applicator is a big cone-shaped sponge. It does not directly dip in the product, there are just three tiny holes so that each time you get the perfect amount according to the brand. Personally I don't need to shake each time. The oil and pigment separates when you don't use it for a few days, that is normal! It contains 6.5 milliliters of product, generous for a luxury brand.

- The Lip Tint Syrup comes in a plastic container. It feels a lot lighter. The shapes and curves are very feminine in my opinion and I like the gold metallic parts. The doe foot applicator is thin, flat and straight. Just like the Lancôme, it is supposed to give you the optimum amount of product for one application and to follow the natural curves of your lips... ? A straight applicator to follow the CURVES of your lips? Um ok canmake...



Claims

The first phase features a transparent oil for a comfortable, non-sticky shine. Formulated with a blend of five nourishing oils, it treats your lips like a lip balm. Peach kernel oil, a well-known emollient, softens lips while sweet almond oil conditions, apricot oil hydrates, and cranberry oil provides rich antioxidant properties. Muscat rose oil, which is rich in essential fatty acids, helps to soothe your lips. The second phase provides pigment for a touch of color. Shake the bottle like a cocktail shaker to emulsify them together. The cushion applicator enhances application by delivering the perfect amount of non-sticky shine and a sheer tint of color to lips."

-From Canmake's website: "A completely new syrup-like texture, which moisturizes without stickiness. We've taken pains to create a comfortable, dry-touch texture, while minimizing the uncomfortable stickiness and sliminess that tends to increase in proportion to moisturizing ability. This syrup spreads lusciously over your lips, ensuring that you can enjoy lip make-up without worrying about hair or clothing sticking to your lips. Color stays on even after eating. The color actually gets brighter over time, so it stays firmly on your lips. The precise color will vary between individuals. Provides a naturally rosy look. Gives lips a natural sheen that looks like you're not wearing any make-up at all. The color develops as though your lips are gradually becoming rosier from within, creating a gentle look."

First impressions

The textures are very similar, they are an oil based product. In fact I could use this in lieu of a lip balm, they are extremely comfortable. I don't really understand why Canmake called its product a syrup, it's not really the texture you want for a lip product, it sounds sticky and gooey while it is not. I am not sure whether you can see it or not on the photo on the right, but the Canmake lip syrup (on the right) is slightly thicker.

For both products I took a darker red shade because there would be more pigmentation and a longer tint effect. But the shades I chose are not matching, therefore I won't be discussing them in terms of color, even though you could probably find each of Canmake shades in Lancôme.

I think Lancôme's claim are on point, it really feels lightweight yet moisturizing, gives a sheer color to the lips and a little shine. Neither of them are sticky. I don't agree with Canmake's claim that it will survive eating, it won't. I don't even understand how the color could intensify but that may be poor translation ... ?


Did I like them?  &  Are they good dupes?

The advantage of the Lancôme Juicy Shaker is the wider range of colors. Canmake unfortunately offers only four shades. The Lancôme is lighter and a little bit more gritty whereas the Lip syrup is a little more gel-like and more glossy. I have a slight preference of texture for the canmake but the Lancôme packaging is sturdier and holds more product (although I could not find the exact amount for Canmake, It's pretty obvious there is less product when you compare the sizes).

I also prefer the Lancôme applicator which allows a better gradient effect and since it is bigger it makes the application faster and easier. Though for some the packaging could be bulky and not as cute as the Canmake. But the straight and thin doe foot applicator is just not as fun and not nearly as practical as a regular one unfortunately.

The color payoff gives a super cute feminine and natural look which I personally love. I also don't mind reapplying often so for me, it's a win. Both have a light fruity smell which I find pleasurable.

I can't say they are exact perfect dupes BUT they are close enough that I use them interchangeably. So if you don't want to spend US $25 for a lip oil, I would suggest you to try the Canmake one, which is roughly US $12. (I bought mine on Ichibankao)

Would I buy them again? Yes, I like them both. I took the Lancôme Cherry Symphony but I was torn between another shade: Mangoes Wild. I would also like to get two other shades from Canmake.

Packaging

I like the Ordinary packaging, looks very professional, and even the name of the product gives you that impression. When your friends look at that and they think it's a prescription, I think that's pretty cool. I love matte glass and the dropper is good for this type of runny gel. It doesn't look cheap, but it is, love that. When I first saw their product, I actually thought they were going to be super expansive, like Deciem, glossier, etc.

I am guessing the names can be intimidating to persons who don't have much skincare knowledge, but don't be afraid, The Ordinary has a description for each product. I like that their products are targeted to one problem, and not trying to do a bunch of things (except for Buffet) because it is aimed for skincare junkies who know what they want.

As the website states: it is alcohol-free, fragrance-free, silicone-free, nut-free, vegan and cruelty-free!

Lactic Acid is an AHA. The most common AHA is Glycolic Acid, but it is said to be stronger and potentially more irritant than Lactic Acid. That's because Lactic Acid molecular size is bigger than Glycolic Acid, it doesn't penetrate as much into the skin.


Claims & How to use it

According to The Ordinary's website, this products offers very mild exfoliation. It targets uneven tone, textural irregularities and fine lines.

The formulation aims at reducing the inflamation with the Tasmanian Pepperberry and with the right PH. The 3.60-3.80 PH is supposed to be low enough for the acid to work but not too low as it could cause irritation.

Directions: Apply once per day, ideally in the PM. Can be diluted with other treatments to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance. This product contains AHA that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.

First impressions

I did not had an adaptation period as I was previously using the Pixi Glow tonic (which has 5% Glycolic Acid) and my skin was reacting well to it, so with a milder acid, I didn't think I needed any adaption. I use it only on my undereye area (Paula's Choice has an article on using AHA on the undereye area), forehead, nose, chin and jaw line. I have avoided my cheeks where I have rosacea.

The liquid is slightly tacky at first. Because of the texture it spreads easily. The smells is not bad compared to other AHA products I have tried (The best smell would be the Pixi Glow Tonic). For some reasons, AHAs & BHAs tend to not smell good, but this is not the worst at all and the smell disappears quickly. Once I am done with the application, it feels a bit shiny.

Given that my last experience with AHA was with the Pixi Glow Tonic I was surprised that it was more like a gooey serum rather than a watery toner. However that does not change its place in a skincare routine, it should still be applied on a clean face before anything else so that nothing interfere with the PH of the product.
Moreover AHAs and BHAs work better if you wait at least 15 minutes before resuming your skincare routine.

I also should note that I wear sun protection every time I go out, and even when I'm inside all day if it is shiny. If you do use AHAs, ideally you should wear protection for a week after.

Did I like it?

I use it on my undereye area to avoid milia but I still have some and I would not say it helps either with the one I have. On my forehead though, it helps tremendously with closed comedones, those pesky little bumps that you can't pop but stay longer than regular pimples. I use to have lots of closed comedones on my forehead but with regular use, I have never more than 2 or 3 at the same time. I manage to have nothing at times! Each time I see some appearing I do 3/4 days of LA 5% + HA 2% and they usually disappear.

It also work as a prevention for blackhead and whitehead since what clogs pores is usually a mixture of dead skin cells, sebum and other things like pollutants, makeup, creams that are too heavy... Would you believe me if I told you I have 0 blackheads? And very few whiteheads? I have had some for years but with consistent use of AHA I have been able to get rid of every single blackhead. I mean there's also genetics that are in my favor, but still.

5% is a very low percentage for most people but it is advised for people who have never used acids to start low. However given my sensitive skin I cannot go for higher percentages. You also have to consider that Lactic acid is not as powerful as glycolic acid, but it is also less irritating. As a result it never gave me redness / flush, but again I only use it on my T-zone which is less prone to redness than my cheeks. If you wanted something stronger, there is a 10% Lactic Acid + 2% HA available form the same brand.

Note: 4.5. It is that close to be a holy grail. But I prefer thinner texture. So I think I will go back to my beloved Pixi Glow Tonic, which I have being comparing a lot as you may have noticed, because I love it so much.

Would I repurchase? I will probably go back to the Pixi Glow Tonic, but if I ever find myself short on money, I would go back to this without a doubt.

I bought this palette in July, therefore I was very happy when I could still find it on my usual online store. It also came with a discount so it ended up being 18$ and there are now a few left at 13$ on Beautynetkorea (be careful there are shipping fees now). Pink is my favorite color, and I goes well on my eyes as well, so I was super excited to receive this. Unfortunately three shades were broken si I had to repress them with alcohol, I think you will be able to guess which.

Packaging

The palette is really slim and small which make it perfect for traveling.
I actually like the little applicators but they are quite annoying because the edges around them are not high, they tend to go everywhere.
It comes with a mirror with a sticker on it, so don't forget to take it out. It also comes with a clear plastic card with the names of the shades, too bad the shades are only in Korean, but they are available in Etude House English website now.

Claims

I used Etude House Proof 10 Eye primer on each shade. How it appears on my arm is the most pigmented you can make them. I had to go over several times for each shade to achieve this color pay-off. But it would be very different with just one swipe, it would not be as pigmented. But I don't think it is bad quality, it just goes with the more natural eye look they are aiming. Even though they aren't very pigmented with just one swipe, at least they are not patchy and they blend quite well. It is not as powdery as other palettes (like the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette for example), but there is some fall-outs when you use a brush, (but I prefer using my fingers anyway).

First impressions 

The assortment of color is just perfect for me. This is mainly for cute makeup looks I believe, although you can be a bit bold with it. I would like to go through each shade to tell you what I think about it.




The End of Spring: Pink shimmer with gold glitter. Sheer with one swipe, but it can be built up.

Cherry Blossom Rain: Light pink / coral matte shade. Very soft, but it's one of the least pigmented shade. It can be used as a transition color on very pale skins. Used alone, it makes a nice natural flushed look. It can look chalky if you layer it too much.

Sweet Jujube Tea: Milky burgundy color. This is one of my favorite colors. Also very soft and quite pigmented, this is a matte shade.

Classic Chocolate Shop: Classic matte brown with red undertones. Not patchy and very soft, just like the other matte shades.

Rosy Filter: the most pigmented shade of all. This is a shimmery and totally opaque copper color.

Twinkle wink: This is a pearly gold, more white than I expected. Lots of glitter, white, gold and purple if you look very closely. Not opaque unless you really pack it on with a wet brush or your finger.

Orange way: Shimmery coral, very close to the Cherry Blossom Rain but more opaque and with shimmers and a few glitters.

Cherry Blossom Festival: A bright pink with a few white glitter but no shimmer. Can be opaque with a couple layer.

Pink bakery: Bright pink with purple glitter. Since it is darker than the other shade, it will be easier to have a bright color immediately but you can still intensify the color.

Popped Cherry Blossom Popcorn: This is a slightly pinkish white, with shimmers and glitters. This is probably not meant to be opaque, instead they went for a subtle look with this. I like it in the inner corner of my eyes.

Did I like it?

There are some matte, shimmer and glitter shades, and there are both bold and natural shades, I think it makes it a very versatile palette.
Therefore, the company claim that you can create "various makeup looks", is true, you can go for a very subtle look but you can also do a more vibrant and colorful look. I like that they only included one brown shade, to be honest I already have a shit ton of brown shades, I do not need more of them.

The matte shades (Cherry blossom Rain & Cherry Blossom Festival) can look chalky if you do multiple layers and they are the least pigmented shade. The most pigmented shade is "Rosy filter".

Personally my eye shadows never crease (probably because of the shape of my eyes) therefore neither does this palette.

Overall this isn't the most pigmented palette in the world, but it is my belief that with practice and talent, you can make almost any eye shadow look good.I would say some are very soft but the glittery shades aren't as soft as the mattes.

Note: 4/5. The point missing is for the pigmentation and the fact that it came broken. But the selection of color is amazing, and I like the versatility of this palette. I do not regret buying.

This Enzyme mask is one of the item I received in my nomakenolife subscription box from July.

I usually don't like Tony moly's skincare products. They often contain alcohol, fragrance, dyes, and so on. This one is not an exception. But even though I am trying to avoid those kind of negative ingredients, I received a sample a long time ago, before I even knew how to read ingredient labels and I felt in love ever since.

Yep, that's a mouthful. You may know the regular micellar water from Bioderma, which partly made micellar waters famous around the world, but there is another version made especially for redness-prone and rosacea-prone skins.

I have tried a lot of deodorant but they never quite satisfy me. Recently I watched a video from Sharla (her Youtube Channel, I can't find the video, sorry) who recommended this particular deodorant on Iherb. Due to her video it had been out of stock for a while but I have finally been able to order it.

Packaging
Smaller than what I thought, it contains 57.7 grams of product. Whether this is too little or enough will depend on how fast I use it. The glass packaging looks sleek I think it is pretty. It came with a spatula but the spatula was inside the jar, which is weird, I had never seen that. But because the product is hard the spatula stayed on top. Unfortunately the lid came broken because the box was huge just for this product and a lip balm so they they were loose during the travel. You can see it a little on the left side of the lid on the photo.

Ingredients
"Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Maranta Arundinacea (Arrowroot) powder, Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Powder), Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), natural fragrances".
It is also important to notice that this deodorant is certified Vegan & Cruelty-free. It is free from aluminium, propylene glycol, parabens and sulphates.

Claims & How to use it
This natural formula effectively neutralizes underarm odor and absorbs wetness. You're supposed to take a dab, warm it up with your finger and just apply it on your underarm area.

First impressions

Smells mainly like rose, the vanilla is quite faint, overpowered by the other scent. I used to think rose scent was horrible but now I kinda like it. The balm is really hard, a mix between beeswax and coconut oil. Then you take "a dab" on the tip of your fingers and warm it up. I personally had no idea what a dab was so I started small. I'd say I take the equivalent of 1 or 2 green peas for both armpits. It feels really powdery on the fingers I was not expecting that, it's quite funny actually.


On the photos it looks quite white, but now that I look at it, it looks quite grayish. I don't know if the photos is mistaking or if the product changed color... I am tending towards the second explanation.

Edit: Yep, the product is definitely changing color, becoming a shade of pinkish grey. But it doesn't affect its efficiency. 

Did I like it ?
In terms of humidity it did not absorb everything I could feel at the end of the day that it felt moist (ew, sorry), like a regular deodorant. However in terms of odors it is quite magical. With just the smallest amount it neutralized every odor. And it's not even that it smelled so strong I could not smell bad odors, like a lot of deodorants. No, instead it smelled nothing at the end of the day. I'd say this last for 24 hours, even longer if you do nothing physical. I am currently working in tea fields for an internship, under the hot and humid weather of south Japan, and it still holds on pretty well, I am thoroughly impressed.

But just because I liked it does not mean I will stop using others deodorants because when I'm traveling it is not very practical to have to wash your hands after. The glass package is not very travel friendly, and the top lid broke too. The stick version was always sold out when I ordered this one, and I did not want to wait any longer. However now that I've tried it, I will probably wait for the stick version to be back in stock as my main drawback with this product is that I have to wash my hands after. But in terms of the effectiveness, I am amazed!

Note : 4.5/5, just because of the packaging. I think I will buy it again in a bar format, maybe the same scent or maybe not. There is also a Bergamot + Lime which I am interested in.

I was running out of my current cleanser (the Nature Republic Green Tea Deep Cleanser) and I did not have the time to order a new one so instead I went to my local supermarket trying to find one that would not be over PH 7. Since low PH cleanser tend to foam less they often come in self foaming bottle, so when I saw this Nivea cleanser made for sensitive skin, I thought I might as well try it out. If I remember well it was under 6€ which is pretty cheap.

Packaging
I think it was my first self foaming cleanser. I find it quite practical and super fast. I always use my hands or a foaming net to foam my usual foaming cleanser, but this is so much faster. (But less fun?)

First impressions
As I said, when you're in a rush, or you just want to sleep ASAP, this is pretty practical. The scent is pretty herbal but nothing too strong I think. I don't like herbal scent, but since it was quite light I did not mind. I was looking for a very gentle cleanser and I was not disappointed. It was very gentle, my face did not felt tight after slightly patting my skin dry. I used two pumps every morning and night. Now when I used the foam my impressions were not that it is was "creamy" even less "rich" foam.The foam isn't super thick, I dissolves quite easily. This is the main let down to this cleanser.

Did I like It?
I bought it because I was looking for a low PH cleanser. So I looked at reddit.com/r/AsianBeauty thread, the savior. There is a list of cleanser with their PH, though since the measures are personal, they are not exact. It scored a 6.5 PH with my own PH strips, which I'd say a very acceptable, though it is close to my personal limit. As I said the foam wasn't exceptional but this was expected since the foaming agents, AKA surfactants (often Sodium Laureth sulfate) often raise the PH, so here they avoided it copletely.

Note: 4/5 I had no problem finishing it but the foam disappears too quickly, the bottle ended quite quickly and the smell is not the best for me. This is not a bad pick, just not for me.

Would I repurchase? Probably not, but I liked the self foaming part.

I was looking for a cost-effective serum, I was not disappointed.

Packaging
The packaging is pretty basic, nothing much to say about it. However for some unknown reason, although both bottle are the exact same somehow the Apple Cleansing oil was leaking the whole time I used it at the base of the pump. Ugh, WHY. I could have transferred the remaining oil into the other bottle but I didn't, I'm just THAT lazy.

Before I start with the review I would like to apologize if this review ends up being a comparison between this cream and the Mizon one. The truth is : once you have found your holy grail, you just can't avoid comparing every single cream to it. Moreover the creams are very close in terms of ingredients, aims and claims so it was inevitable that I would compare them. I hope you will like my review anyway.
